Since some of our members find it difficult to attend meetings on Saturday mornings, we’re holding this month’s meeting on a Friday evening in an effort to accommodate those members. We’re hoping to minimize family/work-life disruption by selecting a Friday evening, since there’s generally no work or school on Saturday mornings for our members.
WPW member Bill James will be presenting a program on biscuit joinery that will include: a review of some commonly-available biscuit joiners; how/where biscuit joinery is used; techniques for accurate layout of joints; safe usage of the machine; demonstration of cutting various joints; examples of the many different types of joints/uses of biscuit joinery; techniques for gluing up the joints, especially when the project is large; a brief comparison of the appropriate use of biscuits versus Dominoes; and other odds & ends of information/techniques/anecdotes acquired over 30+ years using this versatile machine.
