WPW member Bill James will present a program on how to incorporate high-quality knife hinges into your work. Through examples, drawings, and installation demonstration, Bill will explain how to plan for, select, and install both straight and L-shaped knife hinges by Brusso, arguably some of the best hinges available (why use a cheap knock-off if you’re going to put your valuable time into the project?).

Mohamad and Alice Hassibi will be presenting the program on Saturday on Band Sawn Boxes. Alice designs and Mohamad fabricates the “boxes” which look nothing like a square or rectangular box. These are basically small sculptures which happen to have drawers. Mohamad will be doing a demonstration on a band saw and will show original designs as well as discuss problems and techniques involved in the box fabrication.

Track Saws For the Shop
WPW member Regis Will plugs in to discuss the viability of the track saw (as sold by Festool, Makita and Dewalt) as an alternative to the table saw, radial arm saw, panel saw and/or chop saw in the shop.
